Elect Will Dunn for Maricopa City Council.

To The Point

Where I Stand:

#1 Priority is Economic Development -
We must develop a strong employment base for the long-term financial viability of our community so that we can provide the services our citizens need.  My downtown development plan is the next step in this plan.

#2 Public Safety- Maricopa needs to know that we are providing our citizens the very best in Professional Fire & Police protection.  I am honored that our Fire Fighters Union has endorsed my continuing commitment to public safety.

#3 Transportation- Fixing the mess that Pinal County left us must be aggressively worked at all levels of government, from ensuring developers are installing traffic signals to working with the Governors Office and our legislators. I have developed relationships with all of our legislators so  that they will continue to keep Maricopa high on their list of priorities.

#4 Accountability In Government- I have been the loudest voice demanding accountability. I worked aggressively to bring in our new City Manager. I have been instrumental in insisting on most of our citizen's advisory committees.  I was the only council member who voted against council members receiving paid compensation. I am the most accessible council member who meets with citizens daily.

#5 Education- Preschool to Adult Continuing Education is Maricopa’s future.  I fought the developers when they wanted to penalize our public schools with development impact fees and found a way to lower those costs to the school. I was the first council member to aggressively begin recruiting charter schools for our community.  My Downtown Development plan is going to enable higher education facilities the incentives they need to invest in Maricopa.

#6 Small Business Development- As a small business owner, I have the perspective that is sorely needed in government.  When small business doesn't’t succeed, America doesn’t succeed.  I have fought for Maricopa’s small businesses harder that any other person in Maricopa and am proud that so many of Maricopa’s business men and women are endorsing my campaign.

#7 Environmental Sustainability- I have aggressively worked to push the city towards a comprehensive recycling program that takes all factors, environmental, financial, and workablility so that we can be "wise stewards" of what has been put in our hands.  I am currently working with Global Water to enact an even more comprehensive water recycling program that will enable "dual piping" in future developments and will close the loop in water loss in Maricopa.
